ROE HWY/ KALAMUNDA ROAD INTERCHANGE – WATER MAIN RELOCATION

Scope of Works

Alltype Engineering was contracted by Georgiou Group to provide the fabrication and installation of MSCL pipe work for the relocation of services to allow the civil works to be completed for the Kalamunda Road overpass at Roe Highway.

This required 5 new pipelines to be installed ranging in size from 300 NB to 1400 NB. At the completion of the pipe laying the Hydrostatic testing and connection to existing services was also undertaken by our experienced water pipe installation team, during night shifts and weekends, under shutdown conditions.

Challenges included working in the vicinity of live high voltage transmission lines, live water mains, working near the busy Roe highway and Kalamunda Road intersection and on an active highway construction site. Often access to carry out the works required meticulous planning and very confined work corridors.

Years of combined experience in our team ensured that all works were completed safely. With all the difficulties and unforeseen issues and a high level of cooperation with Georgiou, the team was able to meet the client’s expectations and deliver the project in a timely manner.
